Yeah I had that happen on my old car, 95 Formula. I was replacing my tranny mount and took the driver's side Top off to hear the radio better. It started raining hard so I threw it on there quickly and didn't lock it cause my hands were really nasty from working underneath the car. Of course I forgot all about it. Later that night I was coming back from the movies w/ my girl friend. We were going over a large causeway in the left hand lane. I hit about 70mph or so and heard a little wind noise. I look up just in time to see it fly off. I got to the bottom of the bridge and ran all the way back up to try and find it. There was no sign of it so it must have flown into the river I almost thought about getting out my SCUBA gear but the water is too murky and too large of a search are. It cost me $210 for a new one at the junk yard. I had my friend pick it up and the worst thing is they gave me t top for a 93-94 with the dot pattern on it instead of tint. I called them and they said they'd try to find another one of the right year to exchange but everytime I called back they gave me some BS excuse that they couldn't find one, yeah right. Anywhoo I had that stupid dotmatrix T top on my car until it was wrecked.....always bothered the hell out of me....Needless to say I'm much more careful with my Z's T-tops

my friend has a 97 corvette with a targot top (excuse the spelling) and one day his friend forgot to latch it down fully and my friend was going bout 100 and it flew off
not even a scratch on it he was durn lucky

I took a girl for a ride once and she said "What's this handle for?" as she's trying to twist it. I yelled "NOOOOO" and she let go of it. We were going 60 at the time, so it would have been lost. I think a lot of people have had close calls with the tops.

I wish I had that Problem.
My 93TA didnt come with T-tops.
(I dont think many of them did)
I was wishing I had T-tops right now during this awesome Texas spring!
