  • Attention hockey fans

The Detroit Red Wings will NOT re-sign Sergei Fedorov. That's right, one of their highest scorers is moving on. Crap... But, Derian Hatcher is reported to be close to signing with the Wings.

But, holy smokes, look at what Colorado did! They went and signed BOTH Paul Kariya AND Teemu Selanne. Add those two to Peter Forsberg (in my opinion, the best palyer in the world), Joe Sakic, and Milan Hejduk... look out, this team has as much firepower as the old Oilers with Gretzky, Messier, Kurry, and Anderson.

If Colorado signs Fedorov, you may as well hand them the Stanley Cup right now.

Derien should be a good enforcer that the WINGS haven't had in a long time.

Federove like Amerika and the big $$$$$$, now he is a free agent, turned down $40 mil over 4 years, thinks he can do better elsewhere....... Ah where is he going to find another Russian owner of a NHL team?

Personally, I like the Latvian players, like Ozolins, they HATE the Russians big time!

        Hatcher...

Man, being a Stars fanf, I am kinda unhappy to see Hatcher going to the Wings. The Stars are starting to go downhill even more now. But, my other favorite team, Colorado, ought to be a force to be reckoned with next year. It'll be interesting to see how they do.

Nah I dont think Colorado is going to be all that spectacular. They dont have any goaltending to go along with that firepower offense. Their defense is less then stellar as well.

I read today that the Avs were holding out hope that Roy would change his mind and come out of retirement. Last I heard Roy was to see what the Dominator was going to do before making any moves on his end.

Illitch said last night at the press conference for Hatcher that dealing Hasek is a definent possibility.

I think Detroit will get involved in a three team trade and somehow...juts somehow either Lindros will end up coming here (more physical force) or Jagr will get dealt to us in a three team trade for Cujo.

          We'll see what happens!!

            How sweet would this be???

A Western Conference Final between Detroit and Colorado...

Colorado has Sakic, Forsberg, Hejduk, Selanne, Kariya, Fedorov, and Curtis Joseph in goal

Detroit has Yzerman, Shanahan, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom, Hatcher, Chelios, Fischer, Lindros, and Jagr with Hasek in goal....

Wow... I guess that is probably a pretty far-out possibility, but that would be the all-time greatest matchup EVER.
