  • Wheel Color Poll

I've been playing around with different wheel and tire combos. I tend to treat them kinda like women view shoes. I need multiple sets for different looks or moods. Since I just took a pic with my new camera, I though a poll might be fun.

Click the attachment below to view the black OZ Fittipaldis with carbon fiber and silver painted centers.

No I won't take offense if ya don't like them, just don't flame me (and that means you too, Kermie)

Sorry to hurt the feelings but I dont like those really, but I do like black wheels on a black T/A. I have been debateing over putting black z06 or 18's or blck zr1 17's or chrome z06 18's on my black T/A. But I guess its just difference in opinion as I always say. But I saw a white lt1 formula and it had black zr1 wheels on it and i thought it was butt ugly. IMHO

PS: Your forgot an awesome combo blue wheels on a white car. (1999 Anniversary T/A) that gets my vote.

Nope don't like those. I think something shiny (chrome, aluminum, polished) on a black T/A looks much better.

Black on Black would work, but the wheels should be as closely matched to the body color as possible, ie. glossy paint = glossy wheels.

In the end, it all comes down to your preference. And having the ability to switch when your mood is whacky is a plus too.

And the wheels in the pic, I would not go with them myself. The centercaps kind of look silly. And again, they should be glossy in appearance, like a powdercoated look.

          Good luck.

I'm always a shiny (polished aluminum or chrome) on black kinda guy. I also voted for opposite color but more because of the blue wheels on white 30th ann. or black on yellow grand sport. Not black on white.

Ultimately, they may end up my 94 Quasar Blue Z28. I'm doing a grand sport theme with 30th anniversary stripes in white and maybe these black wheels. When I picked these up, I thought that I would either strip and polish them, perhaps even a gold powdercoat like the 10th anniversary firehawk. The wheel itself is nice, similar to the twisted spoke from the 98 and up base T/A. I'm not that crazy about the finish on these either. They do hide brake dust pretty well and does kinda look all business. I also think a polished lip around the bead of the tire would make it look a little better.

I can't say that I like those, but I think a gloss black ZR-1 wheel or any gloss black 5 star for that matter would look good on your quasar blue.

Yeah, I really think if these were done in a gloss black, the look would be sweet.

My favorite wheels are the ones from the Corvette Gran Sport from a few years ago - those were sweet. I have seen some replicas but just not as nice.

The reason I like those a lot more than the first ones Joe posted is the silver rim around the black spokes. I like that look a lot.

+1 on the silver lip with the black wheel - or any color for that matter. I saw a silver camaro with dark gray wheels with a chrome band around the outside - looked outstanding
