Saw the funniest dang thing today
I stopped by the local gas station/ quickie mart and was filling up the car. A van drives up to fill up and out comes this ragged looking family. They looked like they had been traveling all night. The van is still running, they all get out along with the family dog. The passenger leaves the front door open while pumping gas. One family member takes the dog over to the grass, the others go inside for who knows. As the driver is still filling the tank, the van is still running as a few family members start to emerge from the store. Here's where it gets funny....
The dog, seeing the others, breaks loose from the teenager walking him. The dog bolts toward the store while the teen is in hot persuit. The family members see this and start yelling. The dog stops, gets frightened and bolts for the van with kids in hot persuit. The dog runs toward the driver who is still pumping and the guy tries to grab the leash while he is yelling as well. Of course the dog gets scared and quickly bolts toward the open door and hops in. The kids were almost on top and while trying to grab the leash, one trips foreward, shutting the door. The dog stands up on the seat, puts it's paws on the top of the door sill and you guessed it......... just happen to put the paw squarely on the door lock.
Not to be outdone, the driver goes over to the other door and the dog jumps to the other side with tail wagging, obviously proud of himself getting back into the van. Just as the owner goes to open the door, you guessed it...... the dog puts his paws up on the door and nails the lock square.
Maybe the lesson is to not yell at the dog....
