  • NFB: Zaino Question

We just bought a new Nissan Murano for my wife, and it would look wicked with a nice coat of Zaino. My question is, does anyone know how long you have to wait on new paint before you can start layering it on? I want to start protecting the paint as soon as I can. Thanks

On a new car the paint is WELL cured by the time you get it.

On a freshly painted car wait 1 - 2 weeks.

let the process being NOw ur fine.

in fact.. you can use straight z2 or z5 on two day old clear coat without the zfx or z1..then after a week..add a coat or two with them too. i did it twice on the hawk after repaints of nose and rear. awesome protection !

Thanks guys. I'll post pics when I get some cooperation from Mother Nature, who is currently going through the April rains. I got 2 cars to do now, so I may need to order some more supplies.. :-).

BTW, I have a sweet porter cable polisher that I have been using for wax. It does a fantastic job with some Mequires #2. Do you have any advice on using this for Zaino? Maybe for removal of the polish (z5 i think)? Just curious. The website says you can, but does not elaborate on any advantages.
