  • What should I do?

Hey, how is everyone doing? Hope all had a wonderful Easter. This year has been a blessed one for me, financially. I think it is time to do some upgrades on my Camaro, but I dont know where to start. I have a stock 96 V6 3.8L Camaro. I want to upgrade a little bit of everything: looks, speed, power, drive, and all around make over. Since it is a V6 (which I think is a disgrace for a Camaro to be made) I think with this project I want to put more into the look then performance-maybe a 60/40 split. My budget will be about $5000 (give or take) for a complete make over-including everything: paint, rims, sound system, exaust, intake, etc. So if any one has any ideas please let me know, thanks!

if it's a disgrace why are you driving it??? Just poking at ya..

Humm...V6 Go to www.thunderracing.com and check out your options...

Rims, go with OEM styles...ZR1's, 2001+ SS rims...etc...it'll definately make your car look nicer.

Lower it with some springs and tighten the ride with suspension componets...

a Cat back Exhuast will make it sound better and look better too...best bang for the buck mod in my opinion.

Trust me, you can make your car look good..even if it's not that fast...just play with your options and mod on!

      You've got $5k....

isn't it obvious? Sell the V6 and get an LS1. Just solved all your looks, speed, power, and drive problems. You'll probably even have money left over to get a CD player and a couple subs

        briantech98 and I are 2 for 2 today.

I hated to say it but I would suggest getting a V8 car too. There is so much that is already upgraded on a V8 car and you can't go very far with a V6.

        1995 Z28, many mods, SOLD

If you can't part with your RS, you could always find a 94'-95' Z28 for $5000.

I have to agree with briantech get an LS1...I like the WS6 myself being a former v6 camaro guy... i was surprised the huge list of things i wanted on my v6 camaro then i got the WS6 and i didn't have to do anything. It was awesome stock....But if u decide to stay with it check out my Cardomain page ....dont chastise me for the clear tails though...i know how you all feel about those
