I would spend the $200 on a better exhaust system. Unless the parts you are replacing are defective, they aren't costing you as much HP as you might think. If you are after a little more power, a better air cleaner and filter assembly along with a good exhaust will give you better power and use less fuel as well.

For the very first time, LOL, I have to disagree. The stock fans are real HP robbers. Somewhere between 15-20 hp. More than that, the engine will rev much faster without the drag. I was amazed at the difference.
2002 Electron Blue Vette, 1SC, FE3/Z51, G92 3.15 gears, 308.9 RWHP 321.7 RWTQ (before any mods), SLP headers, Z06 exhaust, MSD Ignition Wires, AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs, 160 t-stat, lots of ECM tuning

        1995 Z28, many mods, SOLD

Actually no, we are thinking alike. I assumed he was dealing with a stock engine.

Now that it is evident that the rpm band is altered, getting rid of the stock fan is a good idea. It will free up a considerable amount at high rpm.

As far as the fuel pump, electric pumps put a load on the electrical system, mechanical pumps put their load on the cam. Either way they cost HP. The question is whether you need the higher pressure of electric pumps or not.

Had a new advance curve done to the distributer?
          Considered underdrive pulleys?
          Power steering delete?
          Gears?
