  • sparkplug heat range

    I have a 88 TA that the plugs are starting to foul out they currently call for r45ts. I want to go to a hotter plug would that be r46ts ?

    Yes, here's delco's code:

    R = Resistor
    4 = 14mm thread
    5 = Arbitrary heat range
    T = taper seat (as opposed to gasket seat)
    S = Extended tip

    R45TS is the typical plug for 350s, and has been for years. Might check out the rest of the ignition and make sure you're not burning oil, or running rich. 6 is as high as Delco plugs typically go.
