NFB Need help with something

i just took an autoshop school for under privilaged kids under wing. i donated them a pristene shell of a 1983 mustang notch back for them to use as a drag car. the car needs nothing but to be setup for racing and get a 5.0 put in it. they are planning on using a motor from a 1985 ltd station wagon. i am looking for any parts that they may beable to use in this project, as there budget is virtualy non existant. any tips or parts will be awesome.

I know you said money is tight but you're going to have a hard time finding performance parts for a non roller cam engine. If you could find a 85 and up roller cam motor, you'd be a lot better off.

Man I wish I had my old Mustang now. This would have been a good use for it.
