  • Cheapest way to push an LT1.....

    Wusup guys!
I was wondering, what would be the cheapest way to push an LT1 to around 325 horsepower flywheel? Mod price and instillation taken into consideration, (no NOS). Thanks a lot!

Headers, Y pipe and catback exhaust combined with a cold air intake and 1.6 roller rockers. There are a few cheap mods like bypassing the water lines to the throttle body, as well as a few other items that will free up some lost HP due to heat like a 160º thermostat, and a new performance computer program. With those, 325 is easy.

-cold air intake ($165 new, $100 used - install yourself)
-good mid-length headers ($350 - install yourself or pay shop $250-300; add $200 for coating)
-catback exhaust ($300 - 550 depending on whether its stainless steel - install yourself or $75 shop)
-bypass coolant on throttle body ($0 - do it yourself)
      -custom PCM tune ($150 - 300)
