I was blown away...how many people would give-up a multi-million dollar NFL contract to put their life on the line for their country(?)...I was just blown away when I read about him this morning...Absolutely Amazing!!! It makes me feel kinda small sitting in my warm house. ...and, eternally grateful for those that have given all they had for me!!!!'77 K5 rock-crawler project

WOW...I am blown away, too. Talk about a true patriot. Guys like that are few and far between. God bless his family, especially his wife. Wow, I said many times after 9-11 that if I wasn't engaged then I would have joined up, but this guy did it, and did so right after his honeymoon! I hope that story is covered extensively by the media, more people need to know about it. It really puts things in perspective. All those guys/gals over there are true heroes in my book. Man, that kind of thing really makes me proud to be an American!

I am greatly saddened at the loss, not only of Pat Tillman, but also of every other American -- and Coalition member and civilian -- who has given his (or her) life or has been injured while serving in this war against tyranny.
But at the same time, I am so proud and so incredibly humbled (not to mention thankful) to live in a country that produces people like Pat Tillman.
None of the people serving in an all-volunteer force has to be there. As far as I am concerned, each of them -- from the lowliest enlisted man to the Joint Chiefs -- is a hero, deserving of no less than the best we can provide.
If you are not already doing so in some way, and want to do something tangible to show them you care, you could do a lot worse than to send one of them a care package through the USO (www.uso.com). It's easy, it's cheap and it will mean a lot to someone . . . out there . . . on the Frontier of Freedom.
May God Bless the family of Pat Tillman and may God Bless America.R.i.K.
