  • im ready to get my computer reprogrammed

i need my speedo recalibrated, so i was thinking, since i got a way bigger gear ratio and some intake stuff done, and i know that LT1's run lean, can i get my comp programmed for shift points, tire and gear ratio changes and my car fine tunned all at once? i was told there is like 26 hp due in tuning, is this all done in my pcm, and can i get it done while i get my speedo recalibrated?

    Check out fastchip.com, madz28.com, and PCMforless.com

I got mine done by Ed Wright at fastchip; he did a decent job, the car runs strong, but I think I may have paid a bit too much after looking into some of these other guys.

I am now looking into the tunercat program to do some tuning of my own.

FIX YOUR PROBLEMS FIRST!!! You've got obvious problems.... based on you own comments about misfires, and the track results. Fix the problems before you start diddling around with custom PCM tunes.

You're going about this all the wrong way. You shouldn't be doing all sorts of mods if the engine isn't healthy.

And FYI - LT1's do not "run lean". Just the opposite. At WOT they use a target A/F ratio that is way too rich (11.7:1). Leaning it out is good for about 15HP on a stock engine.
