V6 cars are great for cruising, plenty of repair parts. One thing needs to be addressed. Some try to hot rod V6s to get near v8 times. They spend a ton of dough, they abuse parts, etc... only in the end to not be happy with performance.

The bottom line is they are great cruisers, decent mileage, great musclecar looks. Do yourself a favor and don;t try to be a quarter mile brawler with one and you'll be happy. The t-5 is a great transmission for V6s too.

hmmm..ok now that i got my mind set on buying a new car..what year f-body is..hmm i guess "the best" in terms of mods and such

i cant really explain that to well..just bang for the buck like where cheapest and readily moded meet in the middle u know..like a 94? or something

i was planning on just putting a turbo on my current ride to make it a little better driver..but now im thinking i should just wheel that car and buy another one to drive...

I defenately agree... If your planning on getting high HP & TRQ for a fast ride, go for the v8. Ive seen too many friends put a fortune into their v6's just to turn around and sell them for no where near what they put into it.

But if you just want something quick to get around in that wont leave u at the pump 2-3 times a week... go for the v6.

As for me... i will NEVER go for the v6 again. Once you have the power of v8 you wont go back, GURANTEED!

v-6 deal is already out the door lol..the only reason i even though about the v-6 was because of the condition the car is in..its prety damn near show room floor kinda condition and i am sure anal about my cars

my cars a 91 track (STFU!! it wheels good lol) mom has an 01 GV both have about 70k miles on them and they both look like they came of the show room floor..so i kinda wanted to buy a car that started that nice

but now im looking into a camaro that is 25 years or older to tinker with since i live in cali and i wont have to get it smogged every 2 years..or every year..sigh..i have to take the turbo off of my tracker every year because they always deem the tracker a "risk to fail" so they make me goto a smog only station every damn year...sry for the rant i hate cali lol

I have the same problem... I often see beautiful bodies that look like they are new off the factory line, but again are only equipt with a v6. My first thought is, " How hard could it really be to put a v8 in there??" But after they are that nice, it takes alot more work... and the value isnt there in the end... not that thats why we love our cars, but it is nice knowing that its worth something!

Were you planning on it being a project... or just another car to joy-ride in?

But either way, i think i would hold out for the v8. I bought a 66 mustang fastback (my first car at 16) v6- everything original... and i love it to death, but my its nothing compaired to my 50K mile 93 Z28!!

i was going to slap a turbo on the v-6...i like boost dont know if i can drive a car w.o boost now lol

what i was looking at the car for was so i could take the turbo off my tracker..since it doesnt seem to like the extra power when i wheel it..so i wanted to get a diff car for my DD

there is a sweet sweet 1980 camaro v-8 for 3.5 and a 71 split bumper for 8k....so im kinda leaning towards that kinda camaro..i just dont know which years are good or better then others u know

this will also be my first car..kinda the tracker was givin to my parents which in tern gave it to me so its sorta my car i guess..i dont really consider it mine unless i have paid for it though

but i will have 2 cars to drive..so while i work on one ill have the other..will save me from having to rent my mom cars so i can drive hers to work when im working on my zuki
