I appreciate all the hard work that goes into those cars, and the first one is kind of retro-modern. The one with the red flames has paint that doesn't match at all if you look at the rear and front fascia colors are a lot more silver than the original body and I don't think it looks good. The other thing is that add-on panels always look layered or added-on, not integral, so you have to be careful not to cultivate the Grand-Am cladding look. Still, I don't mean to pick on these guys - they are trying to make something a little nicer and everybody has different taste. I been to car shows where my car lost to stock LS1 cars with mirrors in the hood and magazines all propped around the engine instead of all the mods that I have - so some people like different stuff...
That particular Trans Am is one of two special vehicles developed by the GM powertrain team, the Design team, and the Performance Parts folks during what could be best described as a team building exercise.
It's brother, a Camaro, is referred to as ol' #6. If you have seen these cars together, they make a hell of a pair.
I got to see these 2 monsters at the Bowling Green Gathering last year. Scott S. brought them down to show off. I guess if I had these I would show off too. There was even one lucky dude that got a ride in the Camaro.
