I was cruising down the interstate today doin about 80, and I looked down and my speedometer was bouncing around... It would drop to 40 or 50, then bounce back up to 80. It was really quick though. Any idea what could cause this?

The gauges can go whacky when the ignition switch is starting to go out. The ignition switch sends power to the gauge cluster and mine started to flicker like that right before it quit working completely.

Should I go ahead and try to sell the car so I have room for a V8 F-body as a graduation present???

If that is indeed the problem, $35. The only negative side is you have to lower the steering column to get to it.Originally posted by immgeorge
