Here is VIN on my new car. Does anyone know where to go to find out what info on it, amount made, options,etc? I have not read the RPO codes yet though.
Thanks
There is not a lot of info to be derived from the VIN. It will tell you if you have a Camaro or a Firebird, A V6 or a V8, whether its a coupe or convertible, and the sequence build number.... but that's about all, and you already know all those things. The real information is on the "build tag", a small white stick-on tag that includes the "codes" for all the items installed on the car. Its usually in the glove box, possibly in the console or on the dirvers door. You need to find that, and then look the codes up in an "RPO" list.
2 = Canada
G = GM
2 = Pontiac
F = F Body
V = Formula/TA
2 = coupe
2 = manual belts + airbags
P = 5.7L LT1
0 = "check" digit
R = 1994
2 = St. Therese factory
2 = place holder for Pontiacs (Camaros have a "1", I believe)
11359 = your car's production number

No problem, I know where to find alot of weird f-body stuff, cuz whenever im on the computer I only look for f-body stuff and animal adoption shelters. Need something, just ask.
