  • My St. Louis Mazda Rev it up results

Okay guys, I went to the St. Louis Mazda Rev it up competition for the first time and I think I did okay. The conditions were horrible though. It was raining and cold and everybody with me was miserable. Basically, the entire course had standing water. What was funny though, was that Sundays competition had no rain, sunny skies, and a dry course. Just my luck, but oh well. The pro driver that was there that day set a time of 29.96. If you get this time or exceed it you get 1000 points. My best time was 33.7 and that was good for 498.9 points...... The winner of the competion for the weekend had 825 points, he was also a pro driver.

I've never had any professional race track training and this was basically my first exposure to anything like it. In Western KY there are 2 types of racing, Drag Racing and Illegal racing.... oh yeah, and dirt tracks... Anyway, I think I did okay, and I represented the F-body crowd well, even if I was driving a front wheel drive 4 banger... Here are my results:

    Comp. Class: FUN
    Score: 498.956
    Age Group: 25-39
    National Rank: 1744
    Comp Class Natl Rank: 110
    Location Rank (St. Louis): 165
    Comp Class Location Rank: 8

Each competition has a total of 2000 people. So far 14000 people have competed giving the following scores.

Don't sweat it. I'm going to be feeling the same way on the 5th of June when I partake in the festivities in Philly. I'm not expecting to do well, but I figure it couldn't hurt, right??

    At least you had fun.

Just hope it isn't raining.... lol.... I'm sure you will do even better than me, but really, I don't feel bad at all.... Out of 14000, I'm basically in the top 15% of good drivers, so I feel pretty good about that.... Now if I was driving an F-body.... I would have blown them all away.... muhahahahaha.... LOL......

Let us know your results when you go....

Oh yeah, thanks for replying, it seems nobody else likes me in here.... .... LOL....
