  • Got the WS6

Hey guys, thanks for all the info. I did get the car, 97 firebird formula, 5.7L, 6 spd, cloth seats, no t-top, no power windows or locks, and WS6 package, also have after market rims which were on it. some people don't like them but i do so gonna leave them on, (besides don't have money for different ones) and I am loving it. Sure beats the 2000 Ford ZX2. I took some pics of it, so when i get them i will put some on here.

    thanks again

    Awesome. Congrats.

Your first RWD V8? If so, go to a parking lot and test it's handling both on and off the throttle. May save your butt!

    Good luck.

whoa...that's a stripper, but that's how I like it, no options except for raw power. LoL...

ditto the donuts...nothing like it...go on, rip out a few..

Man, i remember when i first bought my camaro... It has so much more power then the lil v6 mustang fastback i have. I think i drove it for a week strait! Uhh, theres nothing like Raw Power! I defenatly will never go back to a v6! I would defenalty reccomend taking it somewhere n getting used to how it handles... ENJOY!!

Wow, you may have a pretty rare car there. Formula WS6's aren't too common as is, and factor in the fact that you have no power windows or locks, and cloth seats. They probably didn't make too many of those.

Have you verified that it's a true WS6 instead of a hood/airbox swap?? Not trying to burst your bubble or anything, just wondering.

            Oh, and TTIWWP.

The LT1 cars are supposed to hit top speed (150 mph or so) in 5th gear. 6th gear slows em down.

Look on the driver's side door jamb for the option codes. It should have WS6 on it.

were the codes in the door jamb or in the glove box in 97?
