I've got an aluminized cat-back that's beginning to show some rust in spots. I'm planning on painting my calipers in a few weeks and was wondering if caliper or engine block paint would work on a cat-back. I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work as long as the paint is for high-heat applications like calipers or blocks, and I think it would give it a nice, unique look, but I wanted to make sure before I did something stupid.
Any one ever done this or seen it done with positive results?

And I'll be sure to clean the area well first. My main issue is this: Do I go to the trouble of removing the exhaust from the car, possibly having to deal with rusty, brittle bolts, or do I mask off the underside and paint what I can get to/see from underneath?
