  • CD Changer now working

Well I got my car back today and I installed a used Monsoon CD player deck from a 2002 T/A. I hooked up the 12 disk CD changer that I had for a while but couldn't run with my excisting 97 HU.

Now the changer is working like a charm.

What I can tell is, that you need a Monsoon head unit with a tape drive or one with a CD player that was built late 99 or newer to run the Delco 12 disk CD changer.

Anybody needs a Monsoon HU with a CD player fully working from my 97 T/A, except not controlling a Delco CD changer?

Happy to know you are enjoying the set up
Good question though!... it sounds logical the cassette deck HU should drive the CD changer, but I'm not sure. We would have to ask the ACDelco/Monsoon experts to get a trusty answer.

Hope you find a buyer for the AC Delco HU soon.
    Take care
