  • starter probems again...

well my new starter went out. well sorta. the bolt where i connect the neg wire to no longer carries a current. i tested the starter by connect the pos up with a jumper cable and the connected the neg and got nothing, then i taped the side of the starter and it worked. also where theres the short fat wire that connects the motor to the selonoid i was ablen to connect the neg there real quick and the starter worked. Now my question is if i can reconnect the starter back up using the second fat bolt or will the be bad?

man this is like the 6th time ive taken the starter out. just glad i know how to do it w/o removing exhaust

oh when i say i taped side of the starter i mean i taped it with the jumper cable, not hitting it with a hammer

Might want to mention the specifics, like year of the car, engine.
