NFB: Need Wolfman's tire advice

Ken, do you have any info on the Delta Majestic, P205/55R16? They are a Cooper Tire subsidiary. Can't find much info on the web. They are for my daughter's 2003 Matrix XR, driven in the DC area. Thanks!!

give me the DOT code off the sidewall if you would.

i guess cooper must have gotten thier new contract (they are an aftermarket brand based in Memphis, TN.)

Uniroyal, goodrich, chat, alliance, nankang, aurora, ohtsu, fiedlity, carlisle, obilicevo-danig, woosung-lassa, and delta are market and some made it too.

its a "c" line tire... "barely makes the grade" in other words.

lets see who made it (dot code will tell me that)

The car is going in the shop tomorrow for the tires, so I don't have the sidewall markings yet. Found this on the web:

yes ..it passed. but the current tests are based on 1966 technology. nhtsa is about to release the new testing standards which are much much more stengent than the current spec....whic.....sux. ive been pounding on them..and testers too....to upgrade.... the old standards are based on bias ply technology....way outdated.

cooper is a good company...the technical manager is and old friend of mine. ill call him tommorow and post to ya.
