It seems like every time I pop the hood the transmission dipstick is popped off and just kind of dangling there. I'm not sure if it falls off just because it can't hold itself on there very well or do you think it could be because of pressure building up inside the trasmission and it needs a place to vent? There was one time when I used electrical tape to keep it on, but i would like to find a better solution to my problem. thanks

Its very possible the vent could be clogged. I was going to say that too but I wasn't sure these had vents. I had that happen to me in my old Dodge when it had an automatic in it and it was a clogged vent thingy (as my wife (buglover) calls things she doesn't know what the propper name is).Originally posted by N20LT4Bird

That happed to me on a regular basis a couple years ago. I turned the dip stick around 180 degrees and had no problem since. I think its the twisting of the dip stick and the stick not set in all the way makes it top pop out.'95 Formula A4, 17"x9" wheels, F1 275/40-ZR17, TB bypass, 160 deg. TS, LS1 drive shaft, WS6 muffler, LCA, tie rod Soon to be LT4 heads intake and HOT cam.
