With hypertechs they can only be used on one car at a time. Such as, if your buddies car is programed he will have to fully deprogram his car inorder for you to be able to use it. And my speedometer was like 15 mph higher than it shouyld have been. It depends what gear ratioyyou are coming from. This is what I did when my car wasnt programed. Just have you and your buddy cruise next to eachother going the same mph and check to see where you speedo needle is at. Pretty simply.

the '93 uses a complete different ECM than the '94+. You can't get those Hypertech programmers, because the '93s use an actual PROM chip, like the TPI cars. I'm not to sure what it would take to program your own chips, but www.thirdgen.org is just about the best place to look for info as to burn your own chips. Basically, by burning your own PROM chips, its $150 for the equipment, and each chip is like $6, and you can reuse any chip you want. Plus you can finely tune for weather and everything else when you do your own chop, rather than having somebody do it for you.

The 60' time could be .1 to .2 quicker. Sticky tires, LCA relocation brackets and disconnecting the front sway bar at the track will give you better bite, just enough to get you a 13.9x !
try to shoot for at least a 2.1 with radials. It can be done even with a stock suspension as long as the tires are sticky. I've even seen a few 1.9s while on DOT radials (drag radials) with stock suspensions but it's not very consistant. Getting the chassis sorted out will make the car much more consistant and easier to launch.

I know exactly what it takes, as I have two 93's myself. You will need a chip burner, and chips, and software. I believe Tunercat is the only tuning softwar that works with our 93's, and for the chip burner I'd highly recommend using a Pocket Programmer 2 with Amtel At29C256 chips.

If you are looking to get tuned, send an email to chips@pcmforless.com. He is the man when it comes to these speed density setups. He just did a dyno tune day with the LT1 Speed Density forum that I set up, and everyone was happy. I've been using his tunes exclusively for a few years now. Give him an email and he will set you up.
