1997 Anniversary Z28 Camaro Convertible

I have just purchased a 1997 Camaro 30th Anniversary convertible. I have not yet received the vehicle because it has to be shipped to me.

Has anyone seen another '97 anniversary without the orange stripes?

The car thas the proper Z4C RPO code as well as the white top and white leather interior, but no stripes.

Was there a special RPO code for stripe delete?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the only ones that dont have stripes are ones that the owners had removed......... ive seen two.....dont know why they did that.

you can call SLP Engineering with the VIN number to verify also.

and check the door jams and under hood for the slp engineering dot compliance stickers.

It is not an SS so it would not have SLP labels. It is only a 30th Anniversary Z28.

It does have the proper codes on the door RPO label for the 30th Ann. Package and the interior colors.

I will check the vents on the hood to see if they have been repainted. They should have been orange from factory.

Got car this week.

Pulled hood vents, there is orange on the back side. Someone had stripes removed.

I will put them back on.

Looks great! Too bad it has the front liscense plate bracket. Congrats....there are times when I'd love a convertible....this is the time of the year for it!!!

97 Anniversary Stripes

Does anyone know how the hood was painted under the hood vents and stripes?

It looks like the edges around the vetns would've had to be painted.

I am going to put stripes back on and I want to make sure it looks right. I already have the paint for the vents. I just need to know if there is any orange paint done on the hood.

i dont believe there is any paint on the hood except for the vents.
