  • I'm Torn

Well after all of my searching for a new truck (I bought a Tahoe 4x4) after my last one was totalled, I talked to many people who wanted to know alot more about my camaro. Well I have a guy who is interested in building a drag car and is consequently selling his 99 Corvette!

    Hint.......Hint.

This guy is willing to do a straight up trade for my camaro the way it sits w/o motor or tranny.

Man I am torn! I really wanted to finish the camaro and run that thing, but oh the temptation!

The vette is black with graphite leather. Has a few bolt-ons like LT headers, Corsa cat-back, aftermarket shifter, etc. 29K miles and in immaculate garage kept condition and warrantied to 100K miles.

Man what would you guys do? I know you are going to say it is what ever makes me happy, but geesh, this is a tough decision!

What the question? I'd be driving a Vette!

If you don't want to do it, tell him I'll trade him mine. It's white with a black top too. It even runs!

You have to remember tho, he has alot of memories n all that mushy stuff w/ the camaro. Its hard to see it go.

But!, i would be driving a vette... my marro is red, black top... 55k miles on it, if you dont wanna trade for the vette.

          Another vote for the Vette.

Come on... for me it would be a no-brainer.

BUT.. We all know how much you love the build and race world. Are you ready to give that up?

You could race the vette. I would just race it as-is, for fun. I wouldnt race competatively.

I agree, it'd be the vette for me. Like TrazeZ, I'd race it auto-x or do a few more light mods to it, nothing heavy and keep it as a fun car, something you could drive daily if you really had to. Hut that's just me.

I LOVE my T/A, and i would definitely have to make that trade though and switch to the vette. As hard as it is to see your beloved F-Bod go, you can't go wrong with a vette, simple as that !

That trade would be a no brainer for most.

As would the rest, I'd be pimping the vette!!!

I'm hard pressed on giving up my TA...I'm a TransAm kinda guy. If I had to pick between a Vette or TA, I'd buy the TA. On the other hand..if I had an offer to straight up trade my TA for a Vette...hmmm, I'd trade. It's a better car...without any question.

I'm pretty sold on the vette. I'm going to test drive it first just to make sure their are no problems with the car.

I know it seems like an obvious no brainer, but I had my heart set on building a very fast drag race car. Then I found my 1997 camaro that had already been about 70% built from the ground up to be a serious drag race car. There was over 30K in parts and labor invested in the camaro and I paid a fraction of that for it. It is one of those cars that you must see to fully appreciate!

Another thing I was thinking about was that I could put the motor that is being built right now that was intended for the camaro in the WS6. Man that would be a very mean street car!!

BTW here is my new tow vehicle. I bought it from a friend of mine. It is a Chevy Tahoe 4x4 LT. Fully loaded with leather. He kept this truck very clean.
