  • breaking in new brakes....

I just replaced the front brake pads on the WS6, is there a proper break in procedure for new pads, or can I just go out and use them as normal right away? They are OE replacement pads, nothing high performance. I replaced front pads only, rotors and everything in the rear are stock.

With OEM replacements or equivalents, it is ususually a good idea to not make any hard stops for the first few days. Other than that they should seat themselves properly.

Whenever I do brakes, I go out drive normal for 4-5 stops and then do 1-2 panic stops and call them seated. I have heard both sides of the debate on this though.....its kinda like the old "how do you break in an engine?" debate.
