I had the tire shop replace my Eagle GA's and turn the rotors. Now there is a noise. Its hard to describe but its like a whiney noise that changes pitch with car speed (low pitch noise at low speed, high pitch at higher speed). I do not notice this noise when cruising or without brakes applied. Now, the new tires have those little "hairy" thingys all over them so could those produce noise? I don't think the problem is the tires themselves and they are the same size as original. Could the problem be with the pads or calipers? I have heard some people have noise when putting new pads on till they get settled in and he did take out my outboard pad to show me the wear so he did have to re-assemble the pad and caliper. BTW, my brake pads are a little low....
Since the rotors were re-surfaced could it just be a temporary thing till they wear in?
