  • shift kit?

I have an auto 01 SS, if i got a shift kit for it, obviously it would punch me into the next gear when racing, but will it punch from gear to gear when normal driving?

I got a stage 2 B&M for my 97 and yes a shift kit will slam all gears at all speeds. It shifts fast when your just cruising. The 1-2 shift is pretty violent at low speeds(like 10-20mph) when your in traffic coming off the line or something. But the 2-3 is seamless, like you dont even notice it, your just already in the next gear. At first I thought it was too harsh but once your used to it the shift is awesome and you learn to play with it for the best shifts. I chirp the 1-2 shift everything over half throttle(could be my bald tires too, haha). Just dont have any open drinks in the car. I highly recommend one, it's so fun.

i think it sounds fun to me as well, however, i dont think to many girls that i took on dates would find it amusing.

Some people might not have the same enjoyment out of it the same way that you do but once you get used to it and can control it better then itr will be easier to deal with. I did a stage 2 so you might want to start with stage 1 and then possible go onto a stage 2 or 3.
