Look at videos of dogs and cats sleeping. They can actually curl up in a ball. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible (I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space used is nothing but sarcasm).

If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine meow, try to turn the knob, or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered (in addition, I have been using the bathroom for years...canine or feline attendance is not mandatory)

    How True!

I have two cats and a dog, and it's amazing how true that top part reads. They all race me up and down the stairs, if I go in the bathroom, it's pawing and scratching and yowling until I come out. If I'm eating, they want my food. And especially the move thing!!!

Have ya'll ever seen that Get Fuzzy comic? Holy crap is it ever funny. That "letter" kind of reminded me of it. I have three cats and can identify with just about all of that stuff. The part about a paw print in the middle of my food doesn't claim a stake for you in it sounds just like my male cat. He will sit beside the coffee table ( which doubles as our dinner table ) to where just his eyes and ears are visible above the edge of the table, then very swiftly, he will stand up on his hind legs and try to swipe a piece of food off of a plate. Then when you push him away, he looks at you like "What the heck are you doin!?!? That's mine!!" Ya just gotta love the attitude of a cat.

Are they female cats? How did you train them to do that? The only drawback that I could think of is if you had company over and one of the cats forgot to flush, your friends would think you were pigs!

One male one female. She trained them by using a special insert that you can buy to put inside the toilet seat that is like a little shallow bucket. You start by putting cat litter in it and getting them used to using it. Once they are comfortable, you replace the litter with just water (I think). Gradually, you ween them from using the insert at all.

                They don't flush, though.

Here are my list of pets:

                    Bruzer- male Rotty
                    Countessa- Fmale Rotty
                    Akasha- Fmale Rotty(picture below)
                    Samael- 41/2 ft. Green iguana
                    Rat Fink- old rat

I have a Rottweiler Rescue called Raven's Haven
I wanted to keep my last pound rescue, Radu Vladislas, but he couldn't stop fighting my Bruzer, so I found him an indoor two story home nearby. He was my tailed wonder.(he was a fighting dog named Snoop that I took from the pound at his last hour to live)he proved many that he was still worth life. Very sweet, just didn't like other dogs, he even attacked both my females.

Akasha was a pound rescue, she was obviously bred way tooo many times.

I love what the Full Moon Rescue is doing, I had a solid white pure wolf as a kid named Queen, she was from a neighbor that had an accidental litter from his true pair (Native American Man that had the same breed line from his ancestors)
She was very protective of me, like the mother I never had.
I would love to adopt from them one day, although, I need to get a house first, I rent right now, and it's hard enough getting rental with three rotties. I had two Vietnamese Potbellies last year, I seperated and moved and couldn't keep them, they are on a large acreage in TN now.
My dad is from Germany and my mom is Cherokee, I'm a 50/50 mutt. LOL I would love to give back to the wolf as much as I could by giving one a loving home.
I'm looking for a mascot right now, a wounded Raven, one that maybe is missing a wing, etc. and cannot return to the wild. I have plans to build another large indoor outdoor cage for him/her.
My lizard lives in one and has a jungle to live in with automatic misting to makes hime feel at home.
                    Anyway, animals rule!!!!!!!!!
                    Raven

P.S forgot, I'm at work, will download pic of Akasha later.

the only solid white pure wolves are Artic Wolves. they are very rare...and only found on Elsmire Is. with the exception of zoo's and a few that were brought in by breeders to breed "down" into wwolfdogs.....

its is illeagal to own a pure blood wolf in the US with out a wildlife sanctuary permit issued by the Dept. of Agriculture, APHIS. you were lucky you didnt get busted. its a healthy fine and they take the animal from you. hight content wolfdogs and pure wolves are impossible to make house pets out of, unless you have steel furninture and bars on your windows.

if you want to adopt a wolfdog someday...i suggest going to the many fine sites out there (do a google search..) that tell you all about them and what you need to know and have in order to raise one properly.

my organization rescues between a dozen and 20 wolfdogs a month sometimes..... worse than almost any breed of "dog" that exists. irresponisble breeders are the cause. selling the pups to people who have no idea what they are getting into.

                      just my 2 centavos.......

Full Moon Farm is filled to capactiy now with over 60 wolfdogs and a few pures.....Animal Haven is the same way, as is Wild Wolf Spirit in NM....... Loki Refuge in Ma. also. its unreal.

I've heard of what you've said since I've gotten older and looked into it, I'm not sure how the wolves at that time came to be, I'm 30 now, it was so long ago. Also I lived in the sticks where alot of things went on due to lack of authority figures in the area. LOL (I didn't do anything wrong, promise...)

She was a massive animal I remember that for sure, but then again I was small. Our at-one-time local zoo(back yard type) called Limestone County Zoo, had the actual wolves from some Jungle book movie, (at least that's what they claimed) and/or some other movie, the one with the artic wolves, he was beautiful, large, and so quite, you'd never know he came up to you until...nose in the rear, haha (I want to say his name was Shanook??? not sure)

Queen was like that too, I use to call her ghost, cause she didn't make much noise even in the leaf fall of Autumn.

I definately agree to the irresponsible breeder issue, that is why I started rescueing rotties. I will soon add pit bulls to the list, I heavily screen potential parents to all of my babies. We had a large fighting dog ring bust here a few years back, and all the dogs were put down, it repulsed me, cause I went to the shelter and maybe two out the 30+ I would have considered unadoptable. A female had a litter while impounded also, and it was an issue in the courts of whether or not to put them to death as well. But fortunately they were given homes. That's what I was told anyway.
Any animal can be reconditioned if time is taken out for it by caring individuals. Never say never.

My personal experience with animals has shown me that it can be done. I've always had a connection to them as a kid, and the rotties I have now have not been formally trained, but would defend me with their lives, they've done it before. I believe they do it out of pure love and loyalty to me, they are spoiled rotten. I can pretty much discipline them with just a look, and they know not to do something. I can point and they just go wherever. I'm proud to say that I never use physical punishment, they get "time-out" it really works, works for my kids too. The dogs will even go into the 'time-out' kennel without fuss.

Ok, enough about animals, unless it's one called a firebird, cause they exist you know, HAHA

I'm with you, although the live-cast version of the kids story, "The Jungle Book" The orphaned boy was raised by wolves in the jungle. An ape, a python, a bear ans an orangatan were his friends too. None of those things could or would happen in real life, so I guess the story writer (Rudyard Kipling) didn't care much for the fact that wolves do not habitat the jungles. HAHA

The live-cast version is where the actual casted wolves come from.

so far this is the only site that I cold find to allow you to view something showing two of the wolved used, among other animals that do not live in the jungle (bear)

                            http://us.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0110213

You should rent it, it's actually touching if your a serious animal lover

The wolves at the zoo here looked the same, but the white one was larger and there is one like him in the movie. But I still can't tell
