Ok Guys...my bud has a 1986 TA and wants to put 17's or 18's on it...what are the wheel specs he should be looking for? We figured out the bolt pattern...5x4.75, but what s the offset for the bigger rims?

I personally don't know the answer to your question, but I know somewhere that does. Go to www.thirdgen.org , it's a site dedicated to 3rd generation Camaros and Firebirds. One or two of the forums on their deals with rims and tires, etc.
It is definetely possible to get as big as 20's on a 3rd gen if you want to (I wouldn't do it). A good number of people on Thirdgen.org get 17X9s and are really happy with them. Just search for "ROH Snypers." Those rims look really good on 3rd gens.1991 Chevy Camaro RS (Is it plum or purple?)
