Originally posted by ConElite Hey now, I have one thing to say about this. Just about one. The thing about "if your car has more watts than foot pounds". I dont agree b/c in my case, my car is a bucket with only 87 foot pounds yet I have a completely rewired system including one of the nicest amps by KICKER. The KX700.5. That thing is pushing 1400 watts peak and 700 watts max with a bulit in Class-d Amp. So as far as that statement goes. Its not right.
I have 500 watts and only 360 ft-lbs... and I have to drive AROUND speed bumps in parking lots... hehehehe

you sure about that? What motor brand is it?
It is very pointless if they have both. Absolutely no benefits I can think of.
oh, and I am another person who has WAY more watts in his sterio than torque, even with the new motor. Actually, if you are running a decent sub, then you will most likely have more watts than torque.
my car:

-You think downforce is when you sit on your hood.

Funny you said this. My buddy just got a white 95 GS-T with a garrett tdo5h 20G turbo @ 15 PSI, and a catback system, big intercooler, bigger injectors, etc.. The only real power mods were the turbo @ 15 psi, and the exhaust. I raced him in the z28, which is stock except for the catback and CAI, and I beat him. It was close, but I was ahead the entire time, and I started to pull during second gear and big time into third.
Some Detroit Diesel engines have both turbo and superchargers. they are driven by a quell shaft and not a belt. . and putting a turbo on them DOES make a difference. I am a tracked vehicle repairer in the Army (Tank wrench) and believe me there is a HUGE difference when you put the nonturbo model engine in a 113 as opposed to the turbo model. Also look in the back of your big ole busses ie Greyhound.. alot of them have the same exact engine in them.. and alot of them have the dual set up too
just had to put in my .02 cents worth
