    ok, is there a reason for 8 small turbos instead of 1 or 2 big turbo(s)?????

    whats the biggest pain in da bottom of the back with mods?

    trouble with parts.

    think about it......

    keeping all those syncronized and in perfect working order......

    no way.

      They show a dyno run of the engine but don't show the numbers.

        2 headers powering 8 turbos - total waste. 2 turbos is too many on an inline engine, 8 is way too many on a V motor.

          That's the kind of fun stuff I like to see other guys do with their money. If it doesn't live up to it's potential because of weight & complexity, it will make up for it in sheer audacity. It will also make all the import guys jealous, especially the ones that can't even afford one turbo.

            Maybe the 8 small ones spool up faster because each one has less rotating mass?

            But... you'd be dividing the exhaust pressure 8 ways too, so each turbo would get less pressure to spin it.

              Working on the 80 Camaro Z28 ..
              Now driving a '90 Talon TSi AWD Turbo...

                wow, thats pretty dumb. 2 sequential turbos are about as complicated as any good mechanic would like to go. Having 8 small (and they are small, or at least can only flow as much as a small turbo; look at the ducting) turbos just means that someone had 8 of the same turbos in the back of a shelf, and got bored and decided to put them to use.

                It really isn't gonna spool up all that fast, since not much exhaust pressure can be applied to each turbo in the first place, regardless of their size (like TraceZ said). And it definetly can't produce that much power because of the same concept.

                Nope, just go with a single nice ball-bearing turbo, and your good to go
