  • help me decide plz

i need help decideing what to do
i curently have a 95 t-bird LX with 180,000 miles but runs pretty darn good for its age/miles
but a friend is selling his 94 z28 with 84,000 miles, garage kept and no winter use. he has changed distributor, belts, tires, front light has almost perfect paint new spark plugs and i know the 2 original owners and both are gears heads and he wants 5000. but im not sure if i should buy a newer t/a /z28 , more money but newer, my brother told me age is worse then miles
what would u guys do, i would appreciate the help, like n e problems the LT1 has compared to the LS1 thanx

Maybe split the difference. If '94 is too old, maybe look for a '97 with around the same miles. LS1 cars are going to be around $10k minimum. The LT1 is a good motor and should give you pleanty of miles with proper upkeep. Good luck.

If the prev. owners did any halfway signifigant mods to it, I'd say it's a decent price for the Z. BTW, have anymore details on it (leather, color, any mods, etc.)?

$5000.00 for a '94 Z with 84,000 miles is what a dealer would charge you. I've seen T/A's with that many miles and the same year go for $3,500.00. They're out there, you just gotta keep looking. Tell your friend to drop the price a little.

Yeah, 5 grand for an LT-1 with 85 k is a little steep. But rest assured, the LT-1 motor will run like a champ for hundreds of thousands of miles if you keep it well. Ive got 150,000 miles on mine and it runs like it has 70k. The only thing ive done to the motor repair wise is the intake manifold fix.

Sorry officer, im not speeding... Im qualifying
