All depends. Do you have emissions or no??

Personally I'm not a long tube header fan I.E. Hooker, Jet Hot, FLP, TPIS. Yeah, they make good power, but there's also a custom Y-Pipe needed and aren't emissions legal anywhere because of the relocation of the catalytic converter from the stock location.

Arizona Speed and Marine is probably your best emission legal header out there (don't know about CA though). Proven to support up to about 750 HP.

Mac headers are outstanding, but the smallish 1 5/8" primaries tend to cause a restriction in higher HP cars (read above 400 or thereabouts). Great plug access and top of the line power gains on most cars depending on application.

SLP, Edlebrock, RK Sport, and Hooker (shorties) are all good components.

If you want to get really, really nit-picky down to the letter of the law... there is no such thing as an emissions legal header, as it is illegal to remove a functioning catalytic converter, EVEN IF a new one is put in its place...

...but that is just being really picky...

i plan on taking off the old cat, and tossing it in the pile with the rest of them at the exhaust shop. i also could give a rats a$$ about emissions. these cars dont pollute any more with or with out the cat.

I have SLP headers and a Random Tech dual cat Y pipe. I'm pretty happy with the combo.
