There is a picture of the instrument cluster for a 1997 Trans Am for sale on e bay, it has an analog odometer and trip odometer. My TA is a 97 WS6 and my odometer and trip odometer are digital. What are most of them and why are they different?

The changeover from analog to digital odometer was a "midyear" change. They also changed the design of the windshield wiper arms midyear.

This is true. I saw a '97 WS6 for sale at a dealer ship about 3 years ago. It cought my eye because it had the analog odometer.

The nice thing about the 97 Cluster with the Dig Odometer is that they can be swapped into an earlier year and still work. One of my 93's has a 97 Dig cluster in it and the only lights I get is the seat belt light (some dual light setup I believe) and the TCS OFF light because I don't have TCS.

If you try to swap in a 98+ cluster the gauges get all funky though.
