  • nfb: RIP.... Ray Charles, passes away at age 73

I usually don't comment much about my career, but being in the music business, we're saddened by the loss of a wonderful entertainer. An inspiration to those who may have lost their sight or grew up in adverse conditions, he will be missed. Thanks for the memories, Ray.

I'm sorry to hear that. I too am a musician, and piano is one of the instruments that i can play. It is a beautiful instrument, and something that i could never imagine playing without being able to see the keys. He was a very talented man and his death is a sad loss to music. RIP Ray

I'm not really in the music business, but I did take guitar lessons for about a year or so.

Anyways, I don't care if you can't even play any kind of instrument. Mr. Charles' death affects many many people, mainly because he is a legend, and everybody has respect for him.

      RIP man

Yeah, being a bass player, and general music lover, it is sad to hear that he died. But, like other people who are suffering from a disease, his passing was probably the best thing for him at that point. He'll be in a better place now playing music for a higher audience.

Being from Georgia, we have a special place for Ray. He does our state song. He amazed me how well he could play the piano without being able to see it. I can't play it with being able to see it. It's all I can do to play chop sticks. He will be missed.
