I am upgrading my exhaust and I was thinking about doing the Y pipe too. It seams like I remember seeing some posts saying that when they installed the Y pipe, they got an SES code. Is this true? If I change it, will I get this code? If I do, how do I fix it.

I have the SLP y-pipe (the one that still uses stock manifolds), installed it a couple years ago and it never gave me a SES light. I did get a louder exhaust though...

If you go to an off-road y-pipe (without catalytic converters) you will get an SES light unless you buy O2 simms to trick the computer.Former Ride: 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 - 345 rwhp, 360 rwtq... stock internally.
