Anybody know how much a throttle body spacer would help my car? I have throttle body injection in my car.

I'd start by placing some clay on the airfilter lid and close the hood to see how much clearance you have. If I remember right, those cars are pretty tight in that area and you may not have room for a spacer.

A TBI spacer will give you a little bit more performance, but not much, and you probably won't even feel it. I think the standard TBI spacer is 1", IIRC. You will probably be fine with hood clearance if you have the stock snorkel set-up. If you put an open element air cleaner on their (especially a non-drop base one), then the hood probably won't close but it wouldn't be too hard to adjust it to where it could. I have also heard that some people have trouble hooking their cables (accelerator, TV/detent, cruise control) back up with a spacer.

If I were you, I would put on an open element (drop base) air cleaner and an injector pod spacer before getting a TBI spacer. The injector pod spacer will raise the injectors up and will allow more air in. And an open element will definetly give you more power. I love mine and their cheap and easy to get ($30 at Autozone).

thanx for the advise, as for the open element...the k&n xtreme airhat is an open element filter and the lid is a filter as well. By far the best intake thing i have ever dealt with. i felt so much gain with it. I highly recomend getting one...of course you have to have tbi or carb. its about $130 out of summit magazine incuding shipping. its a universal part though so some modification is required i.e. moving the iat sensor but nothing difficult. I think it took me maybe an hour to put it on.
