  • 3.8 estimated gas mileage?

    My friend just bought a 97 camaro with a 3.8 liter and he says he is only getting 15 mpg... i know he drives like he stole it sometimes but i am guilty of that. i've heard of these v6 getting 23 in town
    whats the projected gas of these motors?

    I have ram air on my 99 v6 bird and on the highway I can get 27 or 28 mpg .. other than that just around town probably around 20 or so depending on conditions

      I average around 25-29 hwy and around 22 city.
      No mods, its my beater car to get me places.

          with intake/headers/exhaust I manage to push 26 or 27 on the highway as well. If I take it easy in town I get probably 20 or 21. With a day of taking it not-so-easy, I've been down to 16-17.

            Also, ive hear tire pressure makes a 2-5mpg difference per gallon. this true??
