there is a infl rest light on my brother 91 firebird. how do i turn off the light besides taking out the buld and y is it on ? some1 pleez respond

The light should come for a couple of seconds after you start the car and then go out. If it is staying on tere is most likely something wrong in the airbag system. It is something that you will want to fix rather than taking the bulb out because with the problem the airbag may not work in an accident.
