  • Air pressure in Firestone Firehawks???

    I put the FF SZ50 EP's 285/40/17's on my SS and was wondering what air pressure people are running in these.

    Kevin Villier 2002 SS #186 - 6M with Hurst and "short-stick", T-Tops, navy blue, chrome SS wheels, Bilstein suspension, SS grill, BMR STB, chrome-moly panhard rod and LCA's, SLP SFC's, PPC LT's w/ RT hi-flo cats and hi-flo Y, TEA Stage 1.5 5.3L heads, TR224 cam, ASP pulley, SLP loudmouth, Direct-Flo lid, Holley Power-Shot filter, Mallory polished MAF ends, 4.10 gears.

    think you should be running what the GM recommends...I run at 30 PSI on the Nitto's NT450, give or take a pound or so

      I run em at 35 psi for daily driving.

        It's been my experience that softer pressures aid dry traction, while higher pressures are better in the wet. I used to run 32 in daily driving and pumped up to the max on heavy rain days.

          32 front 30 rear. best contact patch....best handling.

          i tested them at many diff pressures.

          and after all.......you know what i do for a living

            I agree with Ken. You need a little more in the front because of the extra weight. I am running 32 in the front and 30 in the rear.
