high idle

[Canadian WS6]

Once my car warms up and I step on the clutch the engine idles at 1500 rpm for about 10 seconds, then drops to a normal idle at 1000 rpm. It does this while coasting or while at a stop. What could cause this? It is a 1997 Trans Am with a six speed.

my car does this too... I dont know whats wrong either
