Can any one help me? The oil change light came on the other day while I was running arrends and so I stopped and got the oil changed. but the light still comes on when the car is started but eventually goes off. How do I reset it so that it wont come on again until it suposed to? Thanks in advance.

Ok, before I the simple answer to you question a lil about the oil.
The oil change light comes on after the computer has calculated that the oil needs changing. Can't rely on the 3,000 mile rule, it uses engine revoloutions and temperatures. Depending on how you drive your car it may come on sooner or later.
To get it off, after the oil change, turn the electric on but not the car and push the trip reset button on the odometer until the oil change light begins flashing. And that is it, computer acknowledges oil change
