I just found out that my stock differential is going out and will need to be replaced. I was planning on doing this at some point later on, but now it has to be done soon. I am torn between the Auburn and Eaton differentials. I like the advantages Auburn has and I have heard many good things about them, but unlike the Eaton it is not rebuildable. If anyone could give me their opinion, preferrably someone who has used one or the other, it would be greatly appreciated. I know my car is capable of sub-13 seconds runs (dynoed 408hp at flywheel) and I want something that can help me get there consistently and still be a capable daily car. I am also having problems trying to deicide on a ring gear ratio. I have heard that for a 6-speed, which I have and also need to replace
, 4.10 are the way to go. Im not too worried about MPG since it already sucks, but I want something that is decent on the highway. Thanks for any information.
