  • Found my car's problem (fuel pump)

My car will be running fine, but once it gets hot the car jerks and sometimes stalls... it feels like it isnt getting enough gas... well it isnt. The fuel pump is going out, so my psi was running at low 30's when cold. So we pulled the vaccume line off and its up to 41 cold. But its still dropping greatly when it gets warmer. My uncle is guessing 6 hours of labor (if its sitting on the ground)... has anyone replaced theirs? How was it? Any helpful tips? [B]93 Z28.[B] THANKS!

How do i keep it from doing what you guys are having problems with?

do a search theres som guys that just helped me out with cutting an access panel right on top of the tank to get to it. youll never be able to do it with the car on the ground, unless you mean on jackstands. just a warning if you do it that way the rear end, rear of exhaust and the tank have to be dropped. not fun thats how i did it the first time. something went wrong a week later and im def not going through that again.
