  • Hey Wolfman..

What do you think of Kumho tires? Are they the S Korean ones you were telling everyone to run away from.

Also I bought the car I was asking you about in the e-mail. Unbelievably amazing car.

I'm not Wolfman... but I have heard absolutely horrible things about Kumhos.

      I run Kumhos

They do seem to be hardening up a little after 10K and 16 months. Eventually I'll get some Nittos

The girlfriend has a set of Khumos on her Fiero....... Can't stand them. Besides having rotten grip in the rain, with about half the tread left, they are getting hard and starting to crack all over the place. Crap tires at best. I doubt they are even worth the ultra cheap price.

The 17" Kumho Ecsta Supras that I have perform way better than the Comp T/As that I previously had. Cornering grip in the rain is like a dry road. Interesting that opinions are so varied.

            Kumho

My 16" ESCTA Kumhos are a lot better in the rain than the Coopers that were on there. Maybe it is my mods but I can spin them pretty easy on dry pavement (LOL).

Most likely due to different models within the same brand. I'll have to look again at what we've got, it's probably not the top of the line Kumho.

                hey Loth........

kumho uses less natural rubber than most hp tires...... thier crown edge wedge stabilization package is not as good either. they are still trying to run with the big dogs....someday they will.....maybe. i would not buy them. the ShoreA goes up after 10k or so....inferior compounding techniques.

                my 2 cents.
