How "emissions friendly" is this cam? I'd like to do the LT4 top-end conversion w/ the LT4 Hot cam...but really like the sound/lope of the cc306. I don't think the LT4 Hot lopes as much...does it? Thing is...if I can' t pass NJ emissions, it will all be for naught.
is it hard to do on an ls1? Do you have to drop the whole motor to do it, or would i be able leave it in and do it?
A cam change on an LS1 is extremely easy by comparison to the LT1. The LS1 has lifter "retainers" that allow you to remove the cam without pulling the intake. And yes, the engine stays right where it is... you just need to get the radiator out of the way.

to answer everyones questions, hotwhip9, like fred said ls1 cam swap is easy and you dont need all the parts you do for an lt1. realy just the cam and springs. Al 96 Ram Air T/A, the cc306 is hardly emitions friendly, i can pass because i have obd2 and the airpump and egr codes are deleted and i dont throw any codes, and since its obd2 the dont put the meter in my tail pipe. if your obd2 and get tuned you should be able to pass. and LimTeng99TransAm, yeah its been a while, i hope your liking the wheels, but yeah i got the b&b impala exhaust tips, i think they look awsome(when there clean, unlike in the video) but thanks~gunter

Is the video still on the server? If I click on the link, it says "can't find that file".... if I copy and paste, it sits there for a minute, and tells me "media player can't play the file because it is damaged or corrupt", or server can not provide the file in a reasonable period of time?????

Is there intstructions any where on how to install one, or tools I would need to do it? What kind of cam would be ok for daily driving as well as the trip to the tracks. Nitrous is in the future for the car, so that should affect my decision as well, right? About how long should the install take?
sorry the server is down, it should be back up soon, as far as a cam for hotwhip9, i dont know, im an lt1 guy so youll have to ask someone who works on ls1s to get a good answer~gunter
