should i buy or should i get somting diffrent. i want it do itthru the lap top so am getting the cord sent. looks like i will also need adapter to make it work with usb but other then that it seems to good to be true. also the are diagnostic programs so you do not need a scan tool.

If you buy the upgrade version of LT1_Edit, it comes bundled with pcmcomm software to read and clear trouble codes.
The only other programming software available for the LT1 is TunerCat.
If you bought your cable from AKM Electronics, he will make sure you have the right one. He also recommends and sells a serial-USB convertor.Fred
