  • Finally....PICS!

When I went back home for the holidays, my brother (02Z28) and I got some pics of our cars together. Lemme know what you think. We also got to run them once. Would have been pretty even if I had some new tread, but he pulled on me at the start pretty good.

Nice car man! Looks almost exactly like mine My GF and I have like cars too! Same year too!

You definetly have to swap those rims out though! I remember when I first saw the rims on the 97, I was so dissapointed Then when the 2000-2002 wheels came out, I was horrified I think that those two style wheels are by far the worst looking wheels ever put on a Z28. Am I alone on this? The salad shooters we're pretty cool, and they looked far more agressive than any generation after them with the exception of the SS wheels. Rambling...... Furthermore, cool cars!

I'm actually just the opposite. I never really liked the salad shooters, and would much rather have the '97 rims. Luckily they were on it when I got the car. To each his own I guess.

ugh, salad shooters, IMHO, were the worst wheels ever put on any car.

I was playing around with one of the pics and found this effect....it detects the edges of items. I thought it looked pretty neat, and wanted to share with everyone.

I would have to disagree. IMO the rims they put on the early V6 4th gen Firebirds are by far the worst looking stock rims, in recent history, that I can think of but that's just my opinion.....Later

I believe sharp edges, and an agressive design are what make a wheel stand apart fromt he rest. Just look at the Z06 wheels The 97+ wheels have not one sharp edge on em, and look like they came off of a new Honda Accord or something. Tires have a lot to do with making a wheel look agressive as well. Two exceptions to this rule would have to be the WS6 and ZR1 wheels. They dont really have any sharp edges, but still retain that agressive look, making them some really nice wheels. Im not saying the Salad Shooters are some hot wheels, but they're without a doubt more agressive than the other Z28 style wheels. Just my 2 cents.

If I had an LT1 Camaro w/the stock rims I would want it to have the salad shooters. I think they look pretty good. also I agree the 2000-2002 wheels look nasty, glad i've got the SS 10 spoke(for now) cant wait for 17x11 torque thrust, or something similar.

Actually I'm not too fond of the Z06 rims. They're OK(a lot better than stock) but I think the ZR1s look better on a 4th gen IMO. In fact I can't wait untill my tires wear out and I can put the ZR1's that are sitting in my spare room on my Z........Later
